Are most major clutch components model-specific to the turbo?
The 924S, 944, 944S, and, if not mistaken, the 944S2 all use 225mm discs, while the 944 turbo uses a model-specific 240mm disc.
To accommodate the larger disc, the turbo uses a model-specific flywheel. And to accommodate power and torque, the turbo uses a model-specific pressure plate with a higher clamping force.
Does the turbo flywheel have a larger diameter? Possibly an increase of 15mm?
How about the turbo ring gear...is it a larger diameter, model-specific, part as well?

Yes, flywheel and bellhousing are larger for the larger disc. Throw out bearing is also different, and thus, so is the clutch fork. I did a side-by-side and they're very similar but very slightly different spreadwidth.
951 ring gear is 132 teeth, where the NA part is 130. Again, due to larger OD disc.

Yes, agree...throw out bearing and clutch fork are turbo-specific parts, as well. Interesting tidbit...132 teeth vs 130 teeth.
