Default Does BOV matter?

I noticed there are plastic blow off valves for cheap, metal ones for meidum and billet $200 BOV.

Does it really matter if you have a plastic one or billet one, don't they just either work or not?

Thanks for any insight.

Plastic ones have a nasty habit of bleeding off pressure, metal ones work better.

The all metal ones are re-buildable I believe. There are different types of plastic ones. The stock one is all plastic and rubber, and the 993TT(moct common update) i partially metal inside. From what I've read this is more durable. Some people also use a BOV for a Saab 9000T. I think these have an even stiffer spring than the 993TT BOV.
