Default Upgrade help

Okay guys, heres the deal. I have the engine almost out, too lazy to drag it across the floor right now! I have put myself on somewhat of a budget. I am going to do the following:

Rod Bearings
Oil Pan Gasket
Clutch
Rear Main
MAF
Ignition parts (all of them except the coil)
Vacuum Hoses
Hard Pipes (maybe)

That leaves me about 1500 bucks to spend. I was thinking of going to a K-27 and replacing the WG. Any ideas. No DE tips here please, I am putting the car back together, DE's occur in the RX. It would be great to have some left over but I know I wont. In March 04 by BMW is paid off and my annual bonus comes. I will be going to a 3.0L.

P.S. what is the value of a good running but high mileage 951 engine? Maybe I will just buy Tony's 2.85L.

Why rebuild it if you're going to a 3 litre?

Gotta drive the thing until then. Speed is addictive. The goal also is to have SOME parts that will be able to be transferred. Besides lord only know how long it will take for me to build/buy the 3.0L. Once I start in March it could take months for me to get motivated to make the swap.
