Seattle Body shop recommendation?
I have come to the conclusion that no amount of fiberglass and seam sealant will seal up my 951's battery box compartment - it just keeps leaking right onto the DME when it rains. So, I'd like to get it professionally repaired by welding in some new sheet metal.
Can anyone recommend a good body shop ... one that hopefully will not break the bank either.
I live in Bellevue so one on the East side would be even better
Thanks in advance,

Queen City in Redmond
I have heard from local Audi owners that Queen City in Redmond does some great work. I have no experience with them so I can't tell you how big of a hit your wallet will take.

The original repair (done by the DPO or a body shop) was badly done. They cut out two large pieces of corroded(?) metal, roughly underneath where the + and - battery terminals are. Instead of then welding in new metal, they simply glassed over the entire area. I tried glassing it all up again but water is somehow seeping under the fiberglass and then dripping from the area where the metal was cut out. I suspect that it is coming from the area of the drain channel – and I cannot get in there to reseal it.
I have an appointment with Queen City body shop tomorrow for an estimate … I’ll let you guys know what it comes out to.

One of my friends was an insurance adjuster for a few years. When I needed body work I asked him who the two best shops in the area were. He said Bellevue Auto rebuild and R&R. They are conveniently located right next to each other. I have used them both and preferred my experience with Bellevue auto rebuild.

The quote came in at just a hair below $1000.
Heck, that's almost the cost of a Vitesse Racing MAF kit
I think I'm going to put a bit more effort into solving the leak myself. Its sealed to the point now (after reglassing and applying seam sealer) where only a drop or two ever leaks in there now, despite tossing buckets of water in the battery compartment. Almost there...
