Default Should I take this offer for my 951..?

I have an immaculate '87 red/black 951 with tasteful track mods (exhaust, chip, suspension), sport seats, 78k on the clock, absolutely no mechanical issues, belts & such done 10k ago. I have the stock 16" phone dials and a set of 18s that go with.

I was offered $12k by the place I bought it from. They know it's kind of a lowball, but pointed out that would save me having to deal with transportation, etc. They're not wrong.

I think I might be able to get $15k on eBay if I'm patient. I'm trying to move to a Cayman (with a little cash added), or maybe a 914 or Boxster (with money left over to spend on my 928).

Thoughts..?

I think you could be i the 15-20 range depending upon condition...esp if you have the history and can take the car back to stock. Any pics?

You may also want to check out Bring a Trailer. There have been several 951s recently and the prices that they are bringing are very strong. $250 fee and the buyer pays an auction premium.

$12k is LOW.

Agree with above, $15-$20k if it looks like the ones that sold on Bring A Trailer recently.

I know there's always valid reasons for selling cars, but I think you're gonna regret selling that 944.

I'll post up some pics in the next day or two. I had it out at the track today and the paint could use a little touching up and a good going over.
