I had a few Amazon points burning a hole in my pocket so I picked up Griot's Clay Bar products for Paint and Glass. Although they are a little pricey, I was definitely pleased with the results - especially all the grime that was picked up on the glass.

I also bought Simple Green's product for for the aviation industry (Extreme Simple Green) which apparently does not suffer the same oxidation and corrosive side-affects as their off the shelf product. I used a 1:1 mix with water in a spray bottle and got to scrubbing then thoroughly rinsed. This did a great job of removing 30 years worth of dirt in the wheel wells. Not a complete job but hopefully I can get the car on a lift to do the full undercarriage.

Beautiful car and fantastic work. I've never seen Simple Green Extreme before, I'll have to check that out. I do swear by the regular (green) stuff.

Looks great! I used to use Simple Green a lot... I hadn't heard of the nasty side effects, my only issue with it is it leaves a residue that seems to attract even more dirt and grime, so it's a perpetual cycle. Does the Extreme version seem to do that as well?
