The sports car market is very soft. I believe you will find it challenging to get that for your car right now, but remember that he that has the patience is the one that ends up with the cash.

Alright, after talking with some people, I've decided to list the car at $15k firm. I think it's a fair price for what you are getting.

Thanks.

15k is a good price if it's in the condition the mileage would suggest, and with those options and the color ... mmmmmmMMmMmm.. feel like donating to a good cause?

I bought an 86 with 32k original miles about 2-3 years ago in Southern California. I agreed to pay $11k, but the clutch springs broke before I could pick it up, so we split the cost of a new dealer installed clutch -- so I paid just under $12k. Car was bone stock, no LSD, no dents, no tears, no cracks, extensive service history. It had some dings that came out perfectly with paintless dent removal -- the car was always covered, so the dings did not break the paint. The 87 is a more modern car than my 86 (airbags, etc.), but the market has softened a bit. Let us know what you get for it. Excellence magazine publishes actual sales, so you might get some insights from that. I suspect $15k is too high for a non-S, but if you find someone who really wants a low-low mile car, it could happen. The only thing you can't add to a car is fewer miles--so if someone wants a low mile car, a few extra grand may be a bargain.

Of course I'm up for all you can get, but if you're trying to get that much for your car this is what your going to run up against.

1988 944 Turbo S for $14,500 with 49K on the dial, bone stock and near mint. This obviously is from the Rennlist classifieds...

Good luck and let us know what she goes for!

Porschephile is ron's fault the car is so high now, shame on Ron.
Well I found a beauty on Autotrader.com in Las vegas, that car has less the 27k on a rebuild engine and it looks 9 out 10 from the outside and 9.5 out 10 in the inside (pictures of course). He is only asking $ 9000.00 for it. I am gonna take a look and make up my mind. For 17k-18k, I can probably get this moster:

('')

Correction 23k on the rebuild engine

Weird, I thought all 1987 and later cars have dual airbags...

That 88 looks like it has a non-airbag steering wheel??

That's funny, I thought the same thing when I looked at the picture too.

I've e-mail'd the guy several times because he lives very close to me and the same town as one of my older brothers. I'm going to try to run by and take a look at it just because it looks like such a nice car and of course I'm a Porsche nut!
