I'm not a rod expert but if I were in your position, I'd run them as is unless you can find damage or you're planning on aftermarket rods. Maybe Mr. Mount can weigh in on the sinter/forged rods? Just for posterity.

Agreed. They were reliable in my turbo build and look good.

So what's the outcome on the question? I have both in front of me and there is defiantly a difference. The .3 rod is made for more of a windage design but the .0 from the 951 has a flat front face on the crankshaft end. The tops have a differant cut as well. Here you can see for yourselves.

I think flat edged is drop forged the other one is sinter forged. Drop forged should be stronger.
