Default School me on clutch fork reinforcement

I have a low-miles 951 fork I'm interested in reinforcing, after seeing it be a relatively common failure, and having 2 of my buddies with 951s have their forks fail (stock PP).

I was able to find a few accounts of people using a hard rod to build up the failure area, after pre-heating it. Has anyone here done anything similar, or could otherwise offer insight on reinforcement? I'm interested in seeing if any reinforced forks have failed, and if so under what PP.

Is your fork worn on the tips? Every fork I have looked at has a notch in the inner part of each fork. Always wondered if this was normal.

It's slightly worn but nowhere near as much as any other clutch fork I've seen which is why I believe it to be low miles.
