Default k27-7006

I ended up picking up one of these off a buddy of mine. It's got minimal shaft play but I was thinking of getting it rebuilt if I decide to use it. From my understanding these came stock in some (euro?) 930s

Now what I'm wondering is, has anyone run one of these on a 944? Will it drop in save for the 3" J-tube? What sort of performance can I expect with supporting mods (free flow exhaust, chip, 3.0 fpr)? I'm guessing it would be similar performance to a k27/8, no?

I'd love to hear from anyone running them.

I really was after more of a quick spooling BB turbo, but this thing fell in my lap and I'd like to use it.

Thanks!

That's why i made a pinned post, the search function on this forum sucks. And not many know how to use google search function properly also i.e using key words and key sites.

All turbos lag: some more than others.

K27-7006 is not a good match for the 2.5l. As mentioned already, it'll be way too laggy.
It's a good upgraded turbo for the 930 (vs. Stock 3LDZ). If in good condition, you will get a good coin for it on the 930 forum here or Pelicans.
