Default Autothority/Lindsey Racing MAF compatibility questions. Need help

Greetings. I got my old car back from my brother. 1988 951...got too expensive for him. Beautiful car. He did some mods:
1. Lindsey Racing MAF intake conversion
2. Lindsey Racing bigger exhaust
3. Lindsey Racing boost enhancer
4. Lindsey Racing small electronic box in glove compartment to change Air/fuel ratios...all 4 pods set to zero currently

Car is running stock injectors, turbo, and stock chipset.

My question is: Can I run a set of Autothority chip set/banjo bolt with these mods? I've had these Autothority chips since 1995. Looking for improved lower end grunt over stock chipset.

I called Lindsey Racing and they had no clue

thank you in advance

Doesn't at least one of those LR products come with a chip? I know most MAF kits do. APE chips wouldn't gain you anything over that, and AFAIK they're designed around an AFM signal, which is 2D after a certain volume rate.

Thank you for your reply. No, a Lindsey Racing chip set comes with Stage ll or higher from what I understand. I think this "early" stage is just a way to lose the barn door meter. This was installed circa 1999. I know there are better solutions now like Rogue etc., but I don't want to spend much more and from what I can remember I think the car had better response back then with only the Autothority chip set mated to the barn-door setup. So I wonder if I put in the Autothority if I may break something.....

Anybody else have any theories??

thanks in advance

I'd contact Lindsey and ask them. I'm pretty sure all MAFs except Rogue require some sort of piggyback to convert the MAF signal to something the DME can understand. How this effects the chips, I don't know, but would think Lindsey would be best to answer it.

Usually the chips for any MAF setup are calibrated for the specific MAF sensor you are using, so using chips that were tuned for an AFM will not work. In addition, I think the AFM signal is based on 5V input and most MAFs are based on a 12V input.
