To follow up on the TPS...since it showed as available I went ahead and ordered it last night. I just got the following email from them:
I can see them coming back next week saying it's NLA after all, but we'll see.
Thanks for the order, we appreciate the business. We do have to special order the part we don't currently have one in stock. Expect the shipment to leave here in about a week. Please let me know if you have any other questions or concerns.

Very cool link and news letter. Never saw those before. Is there a way to subscribe to get them when they come out?

Thanks Mike, It's 2 years since I asked my local OPC about a 968 block, told them I'd heard that blocks were going to be around £2k. (UK pounds) The parts guy said he'd give me some nice discount on that price so it seemed like a plan to use a brand new 968 block for a 3.0 turbo build. Every time I've asked them about the block including 2 weeks ago they've checked and said not available. Interesting the S2 and 968 blocks are the same price, I wonder if the 968 block has the oil squirters fitted ?

TPS is definitely available
Just got mine delivered from sunset porsche today. If the date on the box is anything to go by, it's not very old stock: 14-01-2016
