Might be good to do a little bench testing with the 928 TPS and compare it with the values found at this website.

If you do, can you please share the results of your tests?

Might be worth reaching out to Sean or Bruce Buchanan re the difference in the 951 and 928 parts as they work on both these model cars all day long. JET951 is their user name.

The TPS used, in my case, likely others, only requires compatibility with mating from loom - the TPS sends the ECU your throttle position/butterfly valve position. TPS's cost, at most, is under a US Benjamin. Neat folks have interest in bench testing durability of Bosch/Hyundai/Ford (same-similar) TPS components. If mine shows typical symptoms of a failing TPS - it's simply replaced. Seems this got a tad OT.

No issue - helping the OP change his TB cam back to 944 turbo type was my intention. You're comment about TPS's and Lindsey Racing intakes/8V heads wasn't congruent. TPS's, as shared earlier, isn't brand relevant - female to male loom agreement is a nice feature when replacing a failed TPS.

Jay and George I Do Not know if one is better than the other, my bias would be toward the 928. My decision was based on experience with 25 year old very well used 951 TPS, and availability when the builds were in progress. Availability for replacement at the track was also a consideration.

I haven't used the factory ECU in these cars for many years - don't want to give incorrect data, as the OE Bosch ECU's may require using a Bosch OE TPS. Many Porsches use the same part number, still under a Benjamin!

TEC - Electromotive. Recently flashed the unit with their new firmware. Waiting on transmission completion, then some final tuning with the newly installed Snow Performance Meth injection. The ECU controls the meth setup - I'm now willing to "slightly" remove some fuel, advance timing, etc. Running 91 pump fuel mandates safe boost, rich fueling, and safe timing is case pump fuel is contaminated, not up to rated octane etc. We're not tuning assuming higher octane than 91 - only allowing a more aggressive tune. The failsafe integration using knock sensors, EGT's, meth flow, etc. are in place now. Any issues, TEC immediately uses spring rate within the WG at 7psi.
My tuner knows his stuff - remotely tunes cars around the world, and good friend.
