Selling my Garrett journal bearing T04E hybrid that's been sitting on the shelf for 6+ years since I won't be using it anytime soon. It is supposedly a very early Vitesse Stage 2 turbo.
Specs:
Garrett T04E 60 trim compressor
Garrett 0.50 A/R M24 compressor housing
-2.28" inducer/3" exducer
3" inlet
2" outlet
Turbonetics KKK #8 replica housing with T3 stage 3 turbine wheel
Oil restrictor installed (note sure of the size, whatever Vitesse installed I presume)
Mileage is unkown and I never drove with it on my car. I bought it from Lorax ages ago and it ran great on his car. Measured shaft play and it's 0.020" total (+/- 0.010" off of center) of radial shaft play and zero axial shaft play. No evidence of any contact between the wheels and their housings. From what I've read this is within spec for a journal bearing turbo and very typical of a dry turbo that's been sitting on the shelf. That said, I can make no guarantees since I ran my car for about 10 minutes in the driveway with it 5 year ago. It might be a good idea to buy a $40 rebuild kit and then send it out to be balanced.
Wrapped OEM downpipe included at no extra cost.
$500 shipped to Cont. US
Paypal only. No international shipping.
6 year old pic when I first mounted it to my car, then I moved, pulled the engine, and parted the chassis. Turbo has been sitting in a box since.
Cleared intake manifold, I think I had to trim the throttle body return spring bracket screws, and trim the alternator cooling duct to fit the piping (or you could do the Nissan alternator conversion).
