Flywheel trigger pins

I'm curious about the differences between most aftermarket flywheels (Spec..etc) vs stock in relation to the sensor trigger pins. On the stock wheel there are 3 pins (2 in line with the ref sensor), from what I see most aftermarket wheels use 1 pin.
How does this change effect the overall configuration using the stock speed and reference sensors? What modifications/adjustments (if any) need to be made to accommodate a 1 pin wheel?
I searched for a while but couldn't find an answer I was looking for.
Answer: One sensor pin is all that is needed.

Correct. Motronic uses a 132+1 trigger on the 951. The 132 teeth are on the ring gear are read by the rear sensor and the 1 stud is picked up by the front sensor. I think the other ones are there for the TDC sensor, which does nothing and isn't even plugged in.

Make sure the pin is set to the correct height and that it's locked in place before you install the flywheel. Mine wasn't, it became many types of hell to adjust the pin, lock it in place and adjust the sensor while the car was fully assembled.

.8mm I believe is the spec for the sensor gap. Good tip.
I'll have to take a measure from flywheel center to pin tip on the stock unit for reference since some flywheels are not the same size as the OEM unit.
