Funny you should ask...

We are actually reviving it. We have a few near completion. We haven't looked at our costs yet to see if we can run with the old pricing or if there will be your typical cost of living/manufacturing increases.

For a few years, the core wasn't made available to us. Then the vendor got purchased and the new owners policies made it available again so we bought some cores and had the tanks cast.

Then we tabled it because our fiberglass vendor of almost 15 years got bought out and they made a major expansion and moved almost next door, but in the process no longer does job shop work because it gets in the way of their own product lines.

We sourced some of their local competition and found a new vendor and have already made header panels again which are required to fit the taller intercooler.

If you want one, give us a call and we can work a number and complete one for you. It might take a week at most.

Flow rate on the old stage 5 was 280cfm with a 40*F temp drop. 6.5" x 4.5" was the square opening size.

The old claim was that using a front mount intercooler would cause our cars to overheat. Frankly that does not seem to be the case from what I hear from people using FM ICs without AC.

Even with AC - I've upgraded to a Kuehl condenser, dryer, etc. running R134A with a vertically designed FM intercooler. Would it work better with direct flow without the FMIC - likely. No issues running AC in AZ 100+ degree weather - make sure your fan shroud is tight against the rad - close any visible light as seen in the dark using a flashlight. Stock shroud fans work fine. Otherwise you're pulling from the easiest route - engine bay hot air vs. colder intake air pulled from atmosphere - in my case - FMIC.
