Drivers side motor mount hell
Going through a mini refresh of suspension/steering components on the 951 and motor mount replacements.
I have replaced both inner and outer tie rods for the passenger/driver sides, replaced the steering rack bushings, and replaced the passenger side mount with relative ease this weekend.
Now the hellish part, the drivers side motor mount. I was able to get to the front 13mm bolt on the top of the mount using a combination of universal, wobble joints, and a myriad of extensions.
The bad part comes from the rear bolt. I cannot access it from the top on the 951 since everything is in the way, I removed the heat shield from the back side, and tried using a 13mm crowfoot extension, 13mm stubby's, 13mm flex head ratchet all to no go on the bolt, and now the head is getting rounded.
Any idea's how to get that sob out, the mount is junk, and this is all that is left to get my car back on the road. I have applied heat to it, along with pb blaster for the last 2 days and it's not budging.
There is literally no room to get a hammer in there, any idea's? I am swearing in 3 different languages replacing these god-awful mounts.

Take a lot more apart. Sorry bud. I had to get crazy on mine too. The turbo was removed and I jacked up the engine and removed the aluminum turbo/motor mount. And my bolts were easy to remove. Good luck.

Not what I want to hear
Any other concoction of tools that will give me leverage from atop or below that anyone can think of before I do that? How about a dremel with a cutting wheel to cut the metal insert on the mount or the bolt? Really reaching here now, but I don't care if I ruin the mount as it's coming out anyways.

I have the engine hanging by a engine hoist that rides over the fenders valleys.
Tell me if I am not thinking correctly, but dropping the crossmember still doesn't give me access to the rear mount bolt since it attached to the turbo mount up top.
Right?
If I am going to drop the crossmember, I might as well replace the rod bearings, oil pan gasket, and reseal the oil cooler since I am over 85% of the way there, the other 15% would be the crossover pipe.

Thanks Bob! I am ready to get the car on the road again with new mounts, no more crazy shaking steering wheel or bumper rattles when the car is idling.
I have made some you tube video's of this little fiasco, and once the other mount is done, I'll post a video with the new mounts and hopefully it will be silky smooth @ idle.

Ok, so a flex head 3/8" offset ratchet, I'll see what my local tool store has available, might have to get an extendable handled one if available to get more leverage.
Thanks for the idea, if my local tool store doesn't have it, well amazon has it for $22 shipped in 2 days

Ordered the offset wrench, will be here in 2 days. Here is hoping for the best, but preparing for the worst.
I'll update the thread with the results.

i've done the engine mounts on my car, but i can't remember exactly the access you have at the moment. if you have started to round off the nut and soaking it isn't working, i would see if i could get a dremel extension in there and cut the nut. i've done this on many exhaust nuts that aren't releasing. again, i can't remember exactly the access, but it might work. i remember getting one of them straight through the wheelwell on the subframe. i did the work without lifting the motor too much, but it wasn't pleasant. you can get a small dremel extension piece into some rather small areas - with some contorting.

If you can somehow fit it, I swear by these for rounded-off heads.
I do remember installing that bolt being a real pain. I did it using a short 13mm wrench from under the car
