Andrew,
I have some additional dimensions that might be of benefit.
I think between the photos already posted and the dimension I will attempt to load you should have enough to make your installation be successful. I put on the lower left of each scan a 1 inch line. If you print to this and get it to the right scale it might serve as a starting point for your template. I suggest that you mock everything with poster paper first and if successful then layout and cut. I have begun layout of mine and will post those pictures when complete. I have removed the metal spot welded to the back of the header nose panel you will need to do this as well. When you layout all your center lines also use a set of dial calipers and a metric or decimal measuring tape. This will aid in layout due to the curvature of the nose piece. I will be glad to give further assistance if you need. You can PM me your email and I will email the files to you. I just tried to post pictures of drawings, but I need to join to post. I will still try to post pictures later when I have more time. Andrew contact me and I will get you the email with info to you.

i have a question here. couldn't you just get a complete 924 turbo header panel and weld it in place of the 944 panel? would it be easier than cutting your existing panel? seems like i saw some new 924 turbo panels for sale once. there must be a reason for doing it this way, maybe the 924 panel doesn't fit? anycase, this is something i would like to do to my next 944, so the info gleaned here is very useful. its gonna look good when your done!

It's a direct fit, with a little work (drilling new holes and cutting off two support brackets) on a 924, 944, 944S. On a Turbo or S2, it does not fit due to the different curvature of the two cars in the front. The turbo header panel is actually more curved at the front and the headlight covers are shaped differently to look aesthetically correct with this change.
Hope that answers your question!

See the pics here with a 944 NA nose panel, a 951 nose panel and a 944 NA nose panel on a 951 car (doesn't fit good) :

Oh drat!!!
I hope I've bought the right one, I'd better try and fit it to the car before I do any more work. I spent last week making some templates from black paper and sticking them on the existing nose to see which looked best. Four vents, two vents, or one big vent?
I've even toyed with having the cutout in the shape of 'MOVE OVER' like the Kokeln cars - don't worry, this is not a serious thought.
