Default Need Cam end cap for 16v motor!

Does anyone have a spare end cam cap from a 968 motor gathering dust? I need one ASAP please. I believe one from an S2 will work too. Realise that they're made to a size with the cams but this will be line bored to suit.

Preferably in the US as it has to be shipped to California.

Indeed!! PM coming your way Luis. You're sending to the same place you sent the cam and fuel rail covers.

The S2 and 968 have a slightly different bore location, i.e. the caps do not 'split' in the same location. Therefore, best to get a 968 end cap. If it's to be bored, then not an issue. Also, unless you cam is extended to the rear cap, you can use any cap for the rear, whereas the front cap needs to fit properly; both bore and thrust.

I'll offer a back-up piece if you need it.

Michael, so in a few words, what you are saying is that the S2 cap won't work even if line bored?

No. I'm saying if it's to be line bored, either cap will do.

Alternatively, sometimes a cap from a different head can be massaged to fit. If that's what he's trying to do it will have to be a 968 cap.

Just saw this pic Michael. Assume that's what you emailed me. It didn't attach. Anyway, I can see what you're saying. I'll come back to you. Thanks.

Thanks @bergerac . I sent a message to the guy who sold me the head to see if they are still on his shelf. Depending on the outcome of that I might be emailing you.
