Russ Murphy,

I didnt say that was gonna take off 500 lbs. I was just giving him some ideas on reducing weight while keeping the car street legal and not looking all messed up. Don't be calling me a mororn you ****ing *** nugget.

try this it might help.
It needed an "m"...

Actually, It's my spreadsheet. But I'm always looking for validation from people who are cutting out weight. So please, give me some feedback. But, unless you have actual weights, don't bother, I can guess with the best of them..

Tony's right, Most of the interior stuff weights almost nothing. I weighed many of the items in the spreadsheet when I ripped one car apart and put it into another shell. I was most disappointed that the hood didn't weight 75# like GT racing said it did. And the fiberglass hood weighed almost 25#. I understand that the undercoating under the car and the sound deadener under the carpet can weigh quite a bit. But, now you're talking some serious tennis elboe getting it off the car. But it's cheap and won't affect anything but the noise level inside the car. It's all about trade-offs.

Sure, as soon as I fix the link, it stops working. Give it an hour and John will have gone to bed... It must be 2:20am Rennlist time.. He has to sleep sometime.

87Porsche951,
Sorry dude. My apologies. I thought my post would be clearly perceived as tongue-in-cheek. I figured most folks had read some of the drivel posted by the DSM guys on the Evo thread. Bad joke.
