Bolts backing out and swinging tranny are the two main ones I've seen. Using the vw's with a lifetime warranty. We've through 10 before the solid tranny mount.

I bought the ones from Amazon, 4340 hardened cages, with boot kits, under $200 delivered in 2 days. Not sure how you can beat this deal.

I took the tranny mount off last night. After looking at how much rubber is on that thing, I decided to go with the liquid urethane option (Flexane 94). I really want to make sure this tranny doesn't twist enough to blow out another CV.

Makes a big difference. I switched to Allen head grade 12 bolts to replace the cheese heads. Some on here get bent out of shape claiming the cheeseheads are just fine but I prefer the Allens.

that's because cheeseheads will take more torque before stripping out the head, than an allen socket.

Is "cheesehead" another term for "triple square"?
