Come on. If it was a $1M biuld he would have had a polished dry sump oil pan inside and out. And the pump too, with custom Larts braided lines. Don't BS us, or tell your special customer to step it up. We want to see a $1M 951! Not a $750G's biuld and told it's a $1M biuld. His engine better have every coating possible on every part from some expensive special coating shop. I bet we can all come up with ideas to help that man spend his $. Wisely...

Hey, is the engine block polished inside and out?

Gotta match the oil pan!

While I have discussed polishing the entire block with Luis it is practically an impossible feat with all the nooks and crannies on the balance shaft covers. Therefore, it is just walnut shell blasted and two part POR-15 epoxy coated in natural aluminum color. Every other part that can be polished is polished, including every single bolt, nut, and washer.

Why not gold plate it while you're at it?

You do realize your wasting your money right? Not on polishing the pan or anything like that, but because your not a rennlist member. Luis gives a 10% discount to rennlisters. Did he forget to mention that? Whoops did I just drop the price 100G's? Sorry Luis, didn't mean to cut into your profit margin, but it is your rule/policy. And have you checked out the stainless steel fasteners for the block on eBay? They might show a better polish. Helping you save and send that $.

Nice pan. Belongs on a wall not under the engine under the car.

I have been a member longer than most of you have been alive. That is why I seldom come here anymore, but mostly because their IPhone App sucks!

I feel both sorry for and jealous from people who have that much time to waste...

If it wasn't for guys like Eric and Eddie going next level on these cars, the rest of us would have nothing to aspire to. If I had the money I be following in there footsteps for sure. I have already spent a lot of time under my car cleaning things no one will ever see because I was inspired by these guys. Nothing wrong with taking pride in your car and spending your money the way you want.

I suppose many people like me partly clean the underside of their cars for functional reasons, as it will be a lot easier to spot a leak or issue of any sort on an overall clean underside than on one that has gathered 25+ years of grime.
Whether there is a functional need to go as far as getting a mirror finish from polishing the aluminium bits remains to anyone's discretion.

I agree, the cleaner your car, the easier it is to spot leaks. I'd guess polished aluminum is even easier to keep clean. You can practically wipe off any grime and oil.

I do know you have been on rennlist for a LONG time, I've seen some of your posts from last decade . And the app that takes you to the Mobile site does sucks! I use the classic site on my phone myself. That's one heck of a car your butting together! And here I thought crazyeddie had OCD...

lol. That's pretty nice. I was going to order the Eastwood kit to do that to mine along with the cam towers and heads I have.
