All,

Just trailered home my "new" 1986 951, capping what is probably one of the longer car deals in history (approx 4 months). I bought her from the wife of a friend at work. All original, and I mean ALL. 23K miles. Too scared to drive it, after reading all the timing belt stories, and wondering what kind of deterioration a taiming belt suffers after 17 years. Tires and hoses too, although it seems to run sweet. A good winter project, I think.

Anyway, just wanted to say hi, and thanks for the sage advice even before I was an owner. I'll send in my Rennlist dues here shortly...

Pat, before the timing belts break, give me the car for free. It will be alot easier that way.

Congrats on the purchase. Few could be so lucky. Age is worse than the track so have the belts and all necessary items checked.

Next you need to get a P-car profile and share some photos.
