You say negative, I say cautious . My opinion, which probably only matters to me, is that with big power the 944 block is the weak link without extensive supporting modification. I've done uprates in the past, now I mostly listen to people that know better...

Amazing... you should be awarded a medal. Keep your drivel for pistonheads.

I know you don't fit new valve guides into a head without reaming them, that may cause follower and cam issues. Are you happy with that "drivel" or are you going to accuse me of racism against you again

Always thought it is name of the owner or something similar

I was reading new german review and comparison of Opel Omega Lotus with new opel insignia OPC and the conclusion was that Lotus engine is much better and as elastic and responsive as if it was made today.

Lotus engine is 24V V6 biturbo CR is 8.2:1.

I wonder how much real world off boost difference there really is between 8,9 or 9.5:1. Too bad I cant try to drive two cars of opposing CRs.

To be precise, Lotus Omega was inline-6 not V-6.

I have driven Lotus Omega (my friend owned it ~10 years ago), it was a very fast car with its 377 hp. He later bought Irmscher Omega 4.0 (based on the same 24v Opel but with stroker crank and bigger bore, without turbo) and it had massive torque but sadly much less top end power.

I always thought it was v6. What a nice engine. I am playing with the idea to make similar water/air IC setup. I would use stock IC filled with water and another front mount water cooler.
