Beautiful car. Looks like a time capsule but interesting to see a car that looks to be so original and untouched with 2 x red air horns behind the front grill and is that exhaust a Porsche Motorsport part? Looks to be like a SuperTrapp silencer with removable baffles.

Also debadged on rear tailgate ... no turbo badge.

Stunning car.

I agree it looks just so right. I have to say that the 951 looks so much better without a lot of alterations, wings, wheels etc. Stock look with a purposeful stance like this is stunning! It seems it is very much original and untouched. Most Cup cars I have seen do not have the Turbo badge in the back.
The exhaust is not a Porsche motorsport part but was built for all Turbo Cups that raced in the Canadian series. It is very loud and you can find videos from races with this exhaust on youtube. See pic of Canadian exhaust below and I guess as you say that is a removable silencer in that 4" tailpipe!

The exhaust, as discussed above, is the Walker 4" exhaust used on the '88 Rothmans Canadian Turbo Cup cars, installed by Canadian Pragmatics when they prepped the cars for the series.

Correct, there is a plug "silencer" that can be installed (pinned in) to reduce noise when needed, but they were not raced with the insert in.

At least two of the '87 North American Cups (the one above #6, and the #1 Escort car) have this RCTC Walker exhaust installed on them. Not sure at what point in their lives these were installed.

That is a "no bull...." Exhaust!
Below is a pic of the euro Cup exhaust.

Also can't help but feel that the price they ask for this stunning machine is a bit of a bargain. I am confident these cars will appreciate a lot in the future. Wish I had the cash!

Thanks for the input on the exhausts ... interesting. that plug in silencer is a very cool touch.

At least some versions of the factory/euro cup exhaust have a little resonator can right after the test pipe/tail pipe section flange. It's cut out of the pic above.

This pic is better and shows the resonator you mention on the euro cup exhaust.

Very nice car. I wonder how that walker cannon sounds like with silencer in and out.

Here is the sound from inside the car onboard with Scott Goodyear.

Great race, thanks. Do you happen to know what thickness stainless is the walker system made of? 1.5 or 2mm?

Oddjob on this forum might know. I would guess they used thin steel to keep weight down and easier heat transfer.

Cant know everything!

Maybe "centerpunch" knows or even has one of those exhausts on his car?
