how would you feed the stock oil pump if you had a dry-sump pan?

It's been done, presumably to increase the efficiency of the dry sump alone. The 'dual' system, in my mind, is totally unnecessary if a PROPERLY designed dry sump system is in place. Those currently on the market, BTW, have issues which affect both reliability and efficiency. I believe the failures and shortcomings have been documented here on RL.

It would be very interesting hearing your opinions of the shortcomings. The failure I personally have had with my DS setup was a broken front pulley. We made a much better solution to solve that. What other shortcomings have you encountered with the kits on the market?

Duke,

I think I remember reading a thread you made about that. What other oiling improvements have you made on the current engine if you don't mind me asking?

The crank is offset grinded and runs ACL race rod bearings. Other than that it's the full 4 stage dry sump setup that is the main oiling improvement. And keeping the oil temp in place, of course.
