Default porsche engine, lotus body?

anyone heard of putting a 968 (with a turbo) engine into a lotus espirit (turbo) body?

So much power, mid - engine handling, exotic look!
triple threat.

I know the drivetrain would be a kjfbkl!
but could it be done?

this makes me excited

Ahh... want to see something really tasty!

Here's a lotus Elise (weighs ~1,800 lbs, not a typo) with a 450 BHP Audi motor:

Now that new motor would add a few funder pounds, but still...

Karl.

There is a Lotus Esprit here in town that the guy got tired of the 2.3L turbo motor and swapped in the ford torus SHO motor (the Yamaha V6), I have yet to see the car, but the mechanic who did the swap said it is very impressive....

Read up on the V6 SHO motor if you don't know about it, it is a very impressive 3.0 or 3.2 L V6 that ford contracted out to yamaha for these cars, the 3.0 can get to 300 hp with a little work.......

I don't care what type of engine the SHO had, I still believe that turbocharged 4cyl was just as impressive.
