Mobil SAE 80 GL5 in 86 non lsd?

Question Mobil SAE 80 GL5 in 86 non lsd?

Can i use this Gear oil in my Tranny. I bought it only to then realise it said GL5 not GL4 DOH! ?
Will it have Bad effects?

There is some controversy regarding the correct transmission lube to use. the original book calls for GL4. The GL5 is a bit slipperier and is not supposed to be good for the brass syncro rings. However, Porsche later changed the factory manual and included GL5 as approved for use?? I would take the oil back and get the GL4 if possible.

75w90 is the correct weight if you're going to use GL-5, SAE80 is for GL4.

Return that stuff, there's no reason not to.
