I'd have bumped up the boost to at least 16lbs and maybe 18lbs for the dyno run just to see what it could do, you'll get used to 14lbs very soon.

I thought you never wanted to see above 12 AFR's?

Hahaha. Well part of me IS curious to see what it'd put down with more boost but at the same time, I really wanted to see what it did "as it sits", so to speak. My initial guess was "275-ish" and I was happy to see I was right on the nose. Of course once my next door neighbor with his new EcoBoost Mustang hits the dyno... if he dyno's higher than me, I'll turn it up just to 1-up him

I've had a lot of cars, some a lot faster than this one, and I've kinda fallen into the perfect comfort zone with the 951. Just enough power to stretch a smile on my face and be wicked fun without being ridiculous... and it stops/turns better than it goes (which is a balance I prefer).

I usually aim for 11.9-12.0. Leaves a little on the table but you're not flooding the cylinders either. Once you get up into the 12.5 range you're not leaving yourself any margin and should keep a REALLY close eye on knock. That's the way I've always tuned anyways... *shrug*

I did notice, when comparing logs over the 3 pulls... as IAT's went up, AFR's got quite a bit richer. I might play around with the IAT compensation tables a bit... might help alleviate some performance drop-off on really hot days.

FWIW, I recall doing a few 20 PSI E85 pulls with that turbo and didn't see any boost taper up to redline.
Good point - power #'s could be off. I might re-dyno it somewhere else. It was a rinky dink import place... I stopped in on a whim, and they got me right in, was $70 for 3 pulls. Owner said he's had 4 944's in the past, tried selling me a bunch of old 944 junk he had kicking around (MAFterburner, some other stuff). *shrug*

And boost tapers but only slightly... from 14.6 through 5200, 14.4 to 5700 or so, down to 14.0 by the rev limiter.

Me too. Those are almost the exact guidelines I use. 13.1 at full throttle with no boost and lean it out to 11.8-12.0 at anything over 150kpa MAP. 14.7-15ish cruising and idle. 12.5 is supposed to be pretty close to peak power for a turbo engine, but not much margin for error. I try to avoid anything under 11 at any point.
