Default M-Tune injectors ?

I'm sure Joshua gets lots of email queries so perhaps mine got overlooked, so anyway 80# or 160# injectors ? I see the info on Lindsey's site re power output/E85 but if the software can run the 160# as efficiently as the 80# at lower revs is there any reason to choose the 80# ?

Do you mean 160's? Those are the choices from LR

80lb max out at ~400 rwhp on e85.

only choose 160 if you're going to run e85 and have decent amount of power.

So from what I was told by my tuner is that you don't want to run your injectors anywhere near 100%, but maybe that's because of the fact that I'm getting a full infinity stand alone system

That was my thinking too, perhaps one day I'll fit an S2 head and 80# injectors would be maxed out.

I also have this same question. Just ordered the M-Tune from lindsey racing for my 3.0 968 turbo and was wondering about the #160 injectors and if it was going to make for idle issues. Any input on this would be awesome. Thanks.

The answer to this question is what's stopping my order at the moment, that and the £ is a bit low against the $ now.

As I'm sure you're aware, when catering for E85 and injectors you have to allow for at least an extra 30% of fuel usage. So if you're not going to run E85 then you can dial back your inj size somewhat. Clearly you need a decent software system that will let you tune / idle with large injs.

I understood that one of chief advantages of sequential injection, apart from some minor emissions & economy improvements, was the abilty to have a stable idle with big injectors.
If your standalone set-up includes a cam trigger then sequential may be an option.

I should be in the next couple weeks. I just sold one of my Garrett turbo's yesterday and now have the money for the 160 injector setup

There are quite a few of us running the 160's, there are no idle issues. If you want power and will run E85 there is nothing to consider.

At the moment E85 isn't an option. I just want to know if the 160 injectors run as efficiently at low speed as the smaller injectors, if so why not just supply the 160's ?

Cost, size of motor and HP goals would be a good bet
