Default Final answer

I had to trim down the rear adapters near the hub interface to fine tune them....

It is CRITICAL that ONLY .....

M12 x 1.5 x 60mm bolts are used on the REAR adapters that bolt to hub

ONLY ....
M12 x 1.5 x 45mm for FRONTS

No, the PCCB rotor hat bolt heads rotate near them if they stuck out too far.

Factory Philips head. However stainless to match the floating pins. The real shocker is that the hats are made from a non-ferrous stainless, so my hat's off to Brembo.

Non ferrous? Or non magnetic?
Nice work either way!
Cheers,
Mike

Yeah, those Brembo boys might have a future in the brake biz.

They have stepped up their game in the last few years. Their earlier caliper designs and manufacturing processes were remedial.

The hats are "non ferrous" as in non-magnetic stainless. This material can take eons of heat cycling without distortion unlike an aluminum hat that develops run-out and has to be changed. They sacrificed weight for reliability.

Thank you Rob!!! I have both the front and the rear fitted. As expected they did not drop right in, mainly because I failed to make it perfectly clear that I wanted to maintain ABS function. I posted may pictures and videos to the 944 turbo Facebook page. The idiots in charge here still can't make an App that is smartphone friendly but continue to charge for this site. What a joke!

Malware Central. I don't visit unless on my Android phone.
Post up the dimension of the extra sensor cutout if you can, I'll make note on my tech drawing.

Rob, off the top of my head, I would say if you slotted that area with an end mill 3/16" deep 1" wide on center there will be tons of clearance.

Bringing this back - did this PCCB swap with ABS work out in the end? Thanks

Yes, have had them sorted out for about 3 years now. Everything seems to be working perfectly. I do think I could benefit from a slightly larger master cylinder but for my purposes the way it is now is just fine. If I ever get my new garage sorted out, I will probably upgrade to a new MC with 1/8" larger bore.

Awesome! How many pounds do you estimate was saved over a 951 brake caliper and rotor?

And are the brakes easy to modulate?
