Default Klicking noise on left front wheel turning hard right

Need to fix this asap.

It's not the ball joint. that's already been fixed.

But when i turn right, it goes "click click click click" until i stop. If i go faster speeds, it clicks quicker. If i go slower, it clicks slower.

I'm heading to my shop to look at the problem now. so any tips/advice would be great.

It's the front left (drivers for you) wheel

that would have been my first guess if you had specified it was a front wheel

glad you got it taken care of Paul.

Glad you found the problem. I had a noise like that, wasn't wheel bearings. Turned out to be a loose clip-on wheel balance weight.
Cheers,
Mike

I still reckon it's something attached to the wheel...

Good luck!

Mike

can't be.

did it with old wheels too. also now getting worse as it use to do it on hard cornering. now it's getting more common.

and sounds like after a bump like a clunk.

I dont know what i can be. ball joints are new/re built. new wheel bearings. middle sway bushings are new. end ones are worn out (think it could be that)
dont know if top hats can do that noise?

It sounds like when a brake pad is loose and hits a slightly warped calliper. but only happens when turning.

Just spit balling here but if you haven't already. Id check the control arm bushings along with the sway bar and its bushings, make sure the ac compressor clears the sway bar (some 944s come close others don't.), check for correct tightness of the wear bearings, make sure the brake pads are not too loose causing giggling. If you have a larger exhaust, check for clearance at the control arm tab. Good luck

Hi Paully
How new are your ball joints? Some of the nylon cup rebuilds weren't very durable. After a couple of failures I reverted to the steel control arms on my 86.
Cheers, David

control arm bushings i haven't checked.

exhaust doesn't touch anything.
nothing hits anything. 100% sure of this.

Thanks.
