Default clutch measurement/ inspection question?

When inspecting the clutch thru the inspection hole, what are you measuring?
Am I correct that you are measuring the travel of the slave cyl?
18mm travel is a new clutch , 34mm is the wear limit?
I.E. more travel of the cyl is more wear of the clutch?
Thanks

Someone has to know???
I measured clutch slave travel...its 18mm, good.
I cant really tell where to measure the disk wear limit from.
The specs say 18-34mm. Is this measured from the front of the throw out arm to the edge of the inspection hole( mine measures about 16mm)
or from the rear of the throw out arm where the slave cyl makes contact to the edge of the hole( mine measures 27mm)

Measure the tip of the bullet shaped piston to the opposite side edge of the inspection hole.
