Default leaking intake hose barb

I noticed a small leak where the idle valve attaches to the manifold. What's the common fix for this? I was thinking about tapping it for a threaded hose barb to guarantee a leak free connection.

slap some sensor safe rtv on the barb, cinch it down tight, and let it cure overnight.

The actual barbed fitting usually will get loose and cause a leak. If this is the case, pull the barb out completely and clean it off. Use JB Weld and epoxy it back in place.

That's exactly the problem I'm talking about, I can pull the barb out by hand. I was thinking about epoxy but wasn't sure it was the right way to go about fixing it, but it's definitely alot easier than what I had in mind. I'll pick some up as soon as I get a chance. Thanks for the advice
