Mark,

I think I have an a-pillar gauge pod lying around that I never used. Let me look around tomorrow. Don't order one, if I find it you can have it cheap.

Sweet, 2-5/8" pods are hard to find.

All of the gauge pods specific to our cars I've ever found are for 2 1/16 inch gauges. Mark wants one for 2 and 5/8 inch gauges. Yours may not be the right size for what Mark needs.

OTOH, I need a two gauge pod(2 1/16 inch gauges) for my car. If your doesn't fit Mark's needs, I would be interested in it.

You are right my pod is 2 gauge 2 1/16". If Mark doesn't want it, you can have it for just a little more than the cost of shipping. Send me a PM.

Why are you installing two boost gauges ?

I would not bother with a pod, just carefully cut/ install the Speedhut in your OEM center vent, eye level and still get AC

I have always been partial to this setup I used for years. Standard Autometer pod and mounting clamp. Uses the bottom screw hole, just need a longer screw. Sits very low and out of the way.

Pole: yes the Tru-Boost AEM boost control has a built-in boost & vacuum with peak recall and warning, It's dangerous to look down below your radio and I don't want to give up an AC vent as I've done before and regretted.

I bought a 2-5/8" Carbon Fiber AEM mounting cup over the weekend and will mount it similar to how Brian shows his done.

You don't give up any AC vents, you hole saw it in the existing vent, air still flows around it .

I received the gauge pod today(Thanks Richard, that was FAST)and it is in perfect shape. It is the right size for my gauges but it wasn't quite right for my car. I knew that the convertible had a different size windshield but I thought it would be minor differences and I could just trim some off the bottom...

NOOOO!!!!

It is significantly shorter and the pod did not have enough extra length on the bottom to make it an easy fix. Plus the convertible A pillar is about an inch wider so this pod does not fit right up.

So I went to work making it fit. I will paint it and both gauge trim rings to match the existing A pillar trim.

What do you think?

Too many projects on this car at once:
-total repaint (Dupont ChromaSystem 2-part, OE per paint code)
-New full leather interior: black with red stitching except seats (opposite)
-gauges, AEM WB, Tru-Boost, OP, Speedhut boost, rebuilt factory (with new Odo gear & painted housing). Lots going on.
