Default Where does this line from the charcoal canister go/what is this barn? (w/pics)

In the process of gutting the charcoal canister, I've got a filter on the vent line but I'm curios where the thick line that came off the metal vacuum canister goes.

Where that thick hose terminates, there is that metal vacuum canister attached to the diagnostic port, which has another length of thick vacuum hose that snakes all across the engine bay along the fire wall, till it terminates here at this hose barb near where the engine harness goes through the firewall on the passenger side>>>>

Where does that hose barb go? It looks sort of like a fuel line connection. I'm having trouble tracing it back or finding a diagram and I want to be sure I do this job properly.

As you can see here, on an N/A the hose I'm talking about simply routes back into the J boot, and has a constant vacuum on it.

The metal line is the vent line to your fuel tank. The braid line connects it to your charcoal vapor canister.

It is metal in the engine compartment and changes to plastic under the car, and is plastic all the way to the tank.

Hello,
Just a question.
I'm working on a 944 S2 1985 and vacuum line nr 11 alway pop off of the valve nr 12 and there is fuel coming out of the vacuum line nr 11!
This happens when the tank is full off gasoil.
How come that fuel is coming out off the vacuum line en always popping off?
François

The black vacuum line pop off and fuel is coming out.

I guess (!) the only ways fuel can get into the vacuum lines is due to a faulty fuel pressure damper and/or fuel pressure regulator.

I saw a video somewhere recently, where fuel was coming out of the FPR vacuum connection... was due to a bad FPR.
