Default 89 951 No Spark!! Help!!

Checked for spark this morning, and nothing. The only thing I did to my car was take out my DME to check to see what kind of chip my p/o had installed. After reinstalling the DME, the car wouldn't fire. It does crank, but it wont fire! My fuel pump pressurizes so I didn't fry my DME. Anyone know what the hell is going on with my car? The car hasn't been turned on in 10 days. I am desperate.

I already bought a new one, installed it, and it still won't fire.

What is the indash boost gauge doing when you turn the key to the on position does it rise to "1"? If so your DME and KLR are getting power and you can start looking at stuff like the reference sensors.

No, it goes just a tad before 1, like 0.8. Not all the way in the middle.

If all you did was take out the DME and re-install it, then chances are pretty good that either something happened to the DME or it's not installed right. Did you take out the chips and re-install them? They only work in one direction and are not murphy-proof. The pins can bend under unnoticed too. How about the connectors? Are they fully seated? Were you mindful of static discharge when you opened the DME? Did you play with any of the jumpers on the DME board?

It might not it but it is a good idea to check it's "Ground", it's under the dash board.

Swap it out with a known good DME. If your car starts, toss the old one in the trash... (actually, I'll give you $50 for dead DMEs).

Why are you 99% sure it is the DME and not one of the sensors?

I'm sure its my DME because it was working each and every day prior to me pulling it out. I attempted shaking my sensors while cranking the car, and nothing. Will the sensors be responsible for no spark? My car cranks, won't fire, fuel pump pressurizes, the boost gauge doesn't go to 1, it goes to 0.8-0.9, and my tach won't climb when cranking.
