Default Boost enhancer cheaper way

Is there a cheaper way to have it than buy the Lindsay racing boost enhancer?
Many years ago i saw a 944 Turbo with a kind of tap inline with Allenscrew on the tube towards the WG.
It should decrease the air flow to the WG, so it open less than normal and boost pressure is higher...
Any advise?

Which is the difference between the Lindsay boost enhancer and a simple ball-spring boost controller?

That's about all it is.

I've seen the LBE used for $30 or so...

I suppose you could always just ***** a hole in the wastegate line...

Even an LBE not worth blowing up the engine (they don't fail safe), much less rolling your own. It's like a serious runner saving money by buying cheap running shoes. He saves $50 but blows his knees out three months later.

You are right; sometimes who more spent less spent. But i'm in Italy and considering shipping and taxes to have an LBE at home i would spend over 180$...

This is what you're talking about. You can build one yourself. all it has is a ball and spring inside.

Make sure you have a bleed hole in your MBC if you ever bypass the stock CV. There needs to be a way to deal with the trapped pressure that will otherwise hold the WG open. You can also add a vent downstream of the MBC if you do not have a way to drill a tiny hole in the MBC (on the spring side).
