Help with passenger side motor mount : Updated
I started changing my motor mounts last night using the procedure from Clark's Garage and all was going well until I went to put the new mount on the passenger side. It won't go in! The old one came out in two pieces so it was easy (one of the worst mounts I have seen), but there is not enough room to get the new mount in with the hard line for the steering rack in place (assuming it's for the rack). Any suggestions?

Jack up the engine a little. Or did you drop the crossmember? Haven't heard of the power-steering line being in teh way before, maybe yours got bumped or pushed into the way? Nothing a little force can't fix, eh?

I think I had to loosen the steering rack mounitng bolts somewhat to get it to move a little, creating enough room to get the mount in.
It's been a couple of years so my mind is rusty. Not something I look forward to doing again.

Well, I finally got my mounts changed (after a two night pause for partying and beer drinking). My car is MUCH smoother now and it's not hard to see why...
The passenger side mount came out in two pieces!!!
I was even able to get the new mounts in without using the special porsche tool "H4MM3R" but I did use "PR_Y-B4.R " for the driver side mount.
