Looking for an EBC / WG set to hold 18psi
I am looking for an easy to use, discrete SBC and a good low cost dual port WG for mods I am plannig on my S. Looking to keep the 26/8 and run a Guru MAP with 55lb injectors at 18psi. Need tp tie down my boost control first so Danno can put the base fuel curve into the MAP kit. Don't really want to tear into the turbo just yet. Looking to make the best of a very tight S without butchering it too much. Also looking for advice on cat bypass pipes. Can I use 3" cat bypass with the original rear section or should I just use a full aftermarket.
Thanks

We here at Porsche Parts Etc have a sale on right now for the NEW TIAL dual port wastegate. We sell the Tial at 350$us SHIPPING INCLUDED anywhere in the US except Alaska and Hawai. We also include the 2 adapter plates with all the bolts and washers to bolt it up. We can even include (at 25$) 12' of 6mm silicone hose to run to the stock banjo bolt and to your boost controller inside the cabin.

I chatted with Danno about that, and 18psi was probably on the limit for the 26/8, the main reason the MAP kits run at 15psi for a Turbo S is the injectors. Evil 944 t, I might consider your Apexi, I really wanted something simple with an accurate boost gauge built in as I want a sleeper appearance.
I asked Danno about the boost controller built into the Link system, apparently its not closed loop so it takes some carefull set up to get the cycle valve timing right to generate a given boost curve. I am thinking a stand alone EBC will provide easier dial in of boost and response using absolute values intead of trying to find a number between 1 and 100 for each 500 rpm increment as is needed for the Link. The boost control function is another 100 bucks even though the website says its included.
How much can a Profec be had for an is there a specific model I should chase?
Thanks

I have a HKS IV boost controler and Tial 45mm wg. I have been extremely happy with the performance of both on my race car. The electronic boost controller does have a boost gauge .. but u should also have a mechanical back-up boost gauge.

I missed quoted my price..I'm looking to get 250 plus shipping. The apexi avc-r does have a very accurate boost guage and you can even data log it. It was used for 1 month or about a rides. I use a whole different setup now but, it was a nice controller.. it has a long wire to the controller so you can leave it in your glove box and take it out to check it even from the driver seat..

I installed the Profec B Spec II this weekend. I must say, this is a really nice controller, soooo easy to use. No complex menus to dive through to crank boost up or down on the fly, instant switching between two presets. warning and boost reduction for each preset, etc, etc....Very nice.
Hook up is easy, just two power wires and plug in the solenoid valve. It reads in PSI to 1/10th of a PSI and have peak hold and temporary peak hold that hold max boost on the display for 3 seconds after letting off the throttle. This is invaluable for measuring the peak of a boost spike compared to the steady state boost while setting up. Stuck mine under the dash near the ingnition key, its no ideal but its just 'out fo the way' enough without being in your face and leaves my gauge panel open for 3 gauges.
Anyone who is on the fence about EBC and is looking for a simple intuitive EBC that works great, check out the Profec B Spec II.
The only complaint is the valve is loud. I will try changing location as right now its up against the bulkhead behing the inlet manifold.
