Default Yellow zinc pretty pics - $150 for $1552.98 worth of parts

Just got back from the plater...

Paid $150 for the work - thought I would list the parts with new prices just for the fun of it. The two 968 front strut mounts are going to a friend. Pretty much everything else is going onto the 924S except the late 944 front strut mounts - putting those to the side...

Front 944/968 strut top mount - 951.343.018.04 $200 each
Front 944/968 sway bar middle bracket - 944.343.731.02 $14.59 each
Front 944/968 sway bar end drop links - 951.343.075.00 $49.46 each
944/968 sway bar drop link washers - 477.411.043 $2.97
944 upper hood latch - 944.511.029.00 $19.80
944 lower hood latch - 928.511.027.02 $55.43
944 fuel rail - 944.110.080.20 $225
944 fuel rail cap nut - 928.110.475.04 $4.05
944 fuel pressure dampner - 944.110.201.03 $91.74
944 fuel pressure regulator - 944.110.198.03 $81.67
944 fuel rail jumper line - 944.110.413.02 $90.12
944 ref sensor connector bracket - 944.612.151.00 $3.97
944 oil dipstick tube - 944.101.223.00 $14.91

Those sway bar clips were redesigned using thicker steel around 1990-1991.

The earlier ones were 0.2mm thinner and tend to break. I found my car had 1 old and 1 new, obviously one had already been replaced. The old one broke. Better off spending $30 on new ones.

Josh did you plate strut top mounts with bearings inside? Does plating affects them at all? I'm going to drop suspension this winter and refresh it, including zinc plating but I was worrying a little about strut mounts...

Josh, thanks a ton for the heat shield. The plating on these parts is very very well done in case you are wondering.

Looks great as usual Josh! Are you doing the prep work yourself (ie. sandblasting) before taking them to the plater?

I did mine and was worried about that so I plugged both ends of the bearing.
It worked, and they were left unscathed... I would be concerned that it would rust them as well ???
