Track Wheels: 16s vs 18s

I have, and maybe I'm missing it, but I never see anything in 17", even from these very expensive custom wheel makers. There is the occasional 3-piece in 17", but all that hardware must add a lot of weight relative to a monoblock, although I do understand that 3-piece wheels do have their advantages in terms of ease of fixability.
Edit: I take it back - I see Braid makes something in 17". $1200 a pop, though.

Again, thanks for all the feedback. I bought the 16s.
Regarding some of the questions asked; stock suspension, replica Cup 1 17s for street use (see previous posts).
As far as engine mods; 951 MAX chips, MBC set at 15 psi, 3 bar FPR, cat delete, Tial 38mm. This set up produces all the power we will need for the foreseeable future. Thus, suspension upgrades will be the focus.
I do think a square set up would be good. I'll keep my eyes open for a pair of 951 8s.
