Default DME pin 28 ground missing

Today i was checking the grounds at the DME plug, all is fine except pin 28. According to the manual it should be a ground but not instead. So i jumpered the pin 28 with another ground pin, i plugged the dme and started the engine: it idles for a second then shut off. I removed the the jumper and all is fine. The question is: why in the manual the pin 28 should be a ground but it isn't?

Pin 28 rings a bell...

Do you happen to have a MAP sensor installed for an aftermarket AFM/MAF system? i.e. Rogue or Vitesse...
