Smaller washer pieces on the inside, larger wing tip washers on wheel side? & Both axles cv joints each have 1 side flat & 1 side recessed- which side goes inside ?

I always put the larger washers on inside. The recess doesn't matter. I've actually not seen the flat type.

Larger outside to keep debris out of the bearing area.

I do the wing tip ones on the wheel side as well. I believe the parts diagrams show that too.
