Default ball joint pin damage

What do you guys make of this? From my 944 track car with m030 spindles. It came out harder than the other side, but not ridiculous. It's a RennBay kit rebuild I did 2 years ago, probably 25-30 track days.

It's slightly bent with some galling on it as well. Seemed tight when I removed it but I agree it sure looks like the pin moved around.

Replace the ball joint and the hardware (bolt and nut). On a dedicated track car, consider carefully the benefits of upgrading to better control arms such as the Fabcar parts. There is no future in driving a car with questionable control arms, especially on a race track. Been there, done that, got the free ambulance ride.

Consider yourself lucky. Either get better (e.g Fabcar with the crazy alloy pin), or swap what you got on a regular basis. When I wrecked, Dave Klymm at Fabcar checked my arms (they were fine), but swapped the pins, as he didn't have a way to test them.

Also think about the rest of the suspension. Are the sway bar brackets triangulated? I cracked mine.

Pinch bolt was loose.
FYI, the Rennbay pins are not factory material. They are not only "crazy alloy" but they are forged "crazy alloy." That pin would have been in two pieces on a factory joint.
