Good Luck installing it m8
BTW, Whats in the yellow box? Some sort of BOV? That looks like the box my saab replacement unit came in.

Sami, I know what you mean. I got my Exhaust and oil breather kit from Dave the other day but I'm waiting on a piston ring/rod bearing kit from Pelican before I start anything. I want to play........

Impressions so far; hmm, well, at least everything was properly packed. About as soon as I was starting to get the old ignition stuff out (btw that yellow bosch box is indeed a new distributor cap) I got a phone call reminder that I should be somewhere else... damn I hate it when I fail to check my schedule
When I got back home it was already getting dark, plus the engine bay was too hot to work on anything (this is my only car...) so I just settled to tightening the front wheel bearings which I installed yesterday. I was kind of hoping it would solve my vibration issues but apparently no such luck...
Anyway, I'll keep posting to this thread whenever I get something done with these new goodies

Ok, did the ignition stuff today. Old wires were in surprisingly bad shape, and the coil didn't look exactly brand new either...
Can't say I really noticed any massive gains anywhere, maybe (and just maybe) the engine is running a tiny bit smoother but it might well be my optimistic imagination... oh well. This "mod" was more for my own peace of mind though (wanted to make sure I've got the spark part of the equation sorted out properly) so I'm happy
Plus the plug wires spice up the engine bay slightly. IRL they don't even look as much out of place as in this pic...

Ok, planned to do the SS brake lines today but figuring out the first one took long enough to de-motivate me... so the rest will have to wait. I think I'll also do some sort of guide for morons like me, as apparently the first idea on how it should be done might not be the best one ...
Btw, these long ones go in front, right?? And in the rear, where the #½!" should I put the SS line, it looks like there's a hard pipe going all the way to the caliper...
Can't really comment if this single hose I put in place today made any difference, just took a short test drive to make sure it's not leaking anywhere. Looks like it isn't, and while the initial brake bite is good, additional braking still takes a lot more pedal effort than it did in my previous 944S... hmm...
Oh yeah, as you can see in the pic, I made a huge mess... took way too long to get the old hose out, so I had quite a bit of brake fluid leak all over the place
Update on the ignition thing; while I still don't feel like there's any more power, it sure seems my mileage improved quite a bit. On a recent trip I got 11l/100km, where it used to be like 15l/100km!

Three Wheelin'
Sami,
I'm not familiar with the 944's, yet, but I would bet that the rear brake line mounts up by the torsion bars, as that's the only place that would require flexing. Keep us posted on how you make out.
