Keep up the good work Shawn. There are some of us thst depend on it

After finding a new weak link this week, I'm afraid it's become a necessity.

Same spot i have my EBC.

How do you have your RPM connected?

I had issues with my LM-2 with RPM so i connected it to the coil IICR. i can check.

Why are you using PWM on the solenoid valve? Isn't it simply open or closed? By using PWM aren't you merely creating noise unnecessarily? Maybe I missed something in this thread.....just asking....

I had two different overboost protections systems in the Vitesse system, but had them both turned off to see how far I could push it. Never found the answer, except that 30+psi without any tuning is too much.

I've been meaning to try the stock cycling valve....

Since it's a solenoid valve it's either fully open or fully closed. To regulate boost pressure it cycles faster or slower.

How else will you regulate the pressure electronically with in a split second

I am waiting on my oscilloscope to arrive. Also, when the EBC in not on and the rpm signal is hooked up, the car will not start. Finally, this MAC valve is loud, much louder than my Prospec solenoid. I'd be willing to bet the issue is the current required to drive the solenoid (putting noise on your circuitry/ground) - you might consider isolating or mitigating the drive for that (i.e. take care of the problem at its cause). What are the drive requirements of the solenoid and are you driving it straight from TTL PWM circuitry? The breadboard setup doesn't help with something like this and you will see better performance with a good pc board design.

Everything is working perfectly in an open loop mode. I have made several test runs and I have boost by gear. Right now I can quickly change between 10 psi, 15 psi, 18 psi, and 22 psi setting maps (each maps has adjustable individual gear boost). Maps are changed by simply pressing a button.

I have designed a Front Panel Express gauge panel that will accommodate the Arduino LCD Shield. I also have added AFR to the EBC (by way of the wideband linear output) so that the controller is aware of AFR and have built in boost safety based on AFR

Now I am working on some different EBC strategies to optimize spool. Since the EBC is boost and rpm aware, it is interesting to look at when the dual port valve should be closed.

Very nice progress, I know a guy as well! Guess you didn't watch much football this weekend. Congrats on the win, but too close for comfort!

Shawn, you may as well develop a standalone!!

Very cool Shawn. Amazing that you can have so many maps. More than a lot of high priced ECU's.

Thanks! Did more testing tonight. EBC is working great in open loop mode. Amazing to have boost by gear, smooths thing out quite a bit. Should have test units out to you guys in the next couple weeks.

The EBC is very simple compared to a complete standalone. As much time as I have spent, I can only imagine the time Rogue has invested in him DME!

Beyond awesome!!! Can't wait! Might have the car back this weekend. Give me a ring if you get a chance. He refused to "fit" my headlight cover, like to pick your brain on sanding/filing techniques.
