Which cam seal and bushing?
*sigh* So I had to replace the cam seal on my new (used) motor right after I got the car running... and noticed now that the new seal I put in is leaking.
I used a brand new bushing and seal that I happened to have in my spares box. The bushing fit on the cam nicely (snug but smooth fit, new seal fit snug to the housing and the bushing) but the fact that it's leaking less than 1000 miles later makes me wonder, "Hmmm, maybe they weren't the right bushing/seal?"
I see in the PET there are multiple P/Ns listed. Any idea which ones are the RIGHT ones?
Cam seal options:
999-113-282-40
999-113-349-40
Cam bushing options:
928-105-139-02
928-105-139-04

There are two diameter-matched sets. You can use either set, but you can't use the early bushing with the late seal or vice versa. If you follow their cryptic system, PET shows which bushing goes with which seal. I can post the matching numbers later if you can't sort them in the meantime.

Alright so as long as I match up the "Model" numbers from the PET I should be fine? (Probably a silly question but I'd rather ask it than assume.)
I think what threw me off was the fact that Pelican has a big popup warning that says, "These parts may not fit your vehicle" when I punch in the P/N and starts to make me wonder if there was a sort of mid-year change. Years ago when I was still into Shelby-Dodges, Dodge issued an odd run of "oversize journal" cams and heads and not knowing there WAS such a thing, wound up ordering a bunch of parts that didn't work. Just trying to avoid that fiasco again.

The seal/bushing change occurred between engines:
- 43 F 06994 and 43 F 06995 [M/T], and
- 43 F 21202 and 43 F 21203 [A/T].
