Here on the board DEFASTEST951 has a 540 hp Powerhaus built car and there is another guy (can't remember his screen name) who has a Milledge built motor thats just a bit under that.

Since there was little definition as to what is considered to still be a 944 based car. I would guess the 944 Turbo Trans Am cars were the lightest before they added in their ballast to bring them up to legal weight since they were full tube frame cars. Or the 924 GTR tube frame cars. Beyond that I would say between our car (still in the works but accurately weighed) at 1850# or some other big 'tuner' cars which are stock chassis cars converted to semi-tube frame.

Skip,
I was told that the 1000HP DOOM car was made then someone stole it soon after it was made. Do you know anything about that car in terms of displacement, turbo, etc...?
As far as Scott Gomes I heard he was making a major HP car to try and break some top speed record. I dont know if that is just a rumor but thats what I was told.

this is their own "in house" CNC'd motor, using Chevy 502 pistons; they designed it in wood, then built the motor - results - 1200-1500hp. There is a story around Dallas of a guy with( IIRC) a Hennessy Viper, laying down 620 +hp. A Norwood customer pulls in off the street, straps the Ferrari down to the dyno, pulls 1000rwhp with perfect A/F ratio, gets off and waves as he leaves.....and as previously mentioned, Bob Norwood built Bob Howards engine.

Hey Brett,
Running rather well finally, still can't dial in a very good A/F ratio with the arc2
Waiting on the Link EFI from Danno to be completed, then I will make a trip to the dyno.

i remember reading that post/email also....if memory serves me correctly he was building a 3 liter turbo to try for a 4 cylinder salt flats record. i remember the numbers 900hp and someone saying the turbo was "the biggest turbo they've ever seen".
