The car is still in race trim (ADAC GT Series) with the air restrictor in place to limit horsepower. Here's the specs:

Factory Specifications

3.0 litre, 4 cylinder, turbo
Bore: 104 mm
Stroke: 88 mm
Valves: 8v (2 / Cylinder)
Horsepower: 337 @ 5400 (ADAC GT)
Horsepower: 350 @ 5400 (Le Mans)
369 lb ft (500 nm) @ 3000
98 Octane
Front Wheel: 10J x 18" 265/630 slicks
Rear Wheel: 11J x 18" 305/650 slicks
6 Speed rear differential
Weight: 2976 lbs (1350 kg)
Roll Cage: Matter
0-62mph: 4.4 seconds
Base Price: 228,000 dm

I received quite a bit of original paperwork with the car that is really interesting. Setup sheets from Joest racing and correspondance with Porsche and Matter concerning special changes to this car that the other 3 did not recieve. I'll try to put it all together and put it up on our site. A lot of the info is in German so it'll take me a little bit to translate.

Jason, congrats. I hope it was okay with you that I spoke out about who bought it. You are very lucky to own such a nice car.
I have a similar engine from a turbo RS as well waiting for an install this winter. 968 turbo S transmission is on the way as well so I should be setup pretty well and will be able to drive it anywhere in US.

Not a problem at all Raj, it's not a secret. Just took a while to trickle down from the 968 list. I didn't really want to get on the list and say "look what I've got" so it's nice that folks are as excited about it as I am. I've followed your car and that sounds great. I'll be anxious to see the final results. Driving it on the street should be a hoot!

Jason, hopefully we will meet next year at Hershey. Don Hassenbien sets up a real nice 968 get together every year. Bruce could not make it this year. There were atleast 3 turbo conversions including mine. There was a PH conversion and another bored out 944 turbo engine conversion.
With your car there next yr, it will really complete the get together. I wish you the best in its ownership. I won the most modified this year cause this car wa not there. You show up, you have the trophy, guaranteed!!!

It's practically like the holy grail...they don't exist except for a couple on the RS cars.

Jason, nice grab. I've had a glossy framed photo of that car in my office for awhile now, and it's nice to know it's in good hands.

Jason, most excellent acquisition. Looking forward to your posts.
BTW, I've been impressed with the willingness of owners to share information about their cars: just look at Bruce's site.

THAT strut brace alone must be worth a fortune ...
Notice that the shock towers are tri-angulated back to the firewall with tube. On a 924 GTS that I saw, the triangulation was done from the strut brace, not the strut towers. This is the second factory race car that I have seen, were triangulation was incorporated. Makes you wonder how effective just a strut brace alone is, without triangulation.

Jason,

Awesome purchase. I look forward to you writing about all the modifications.

I'll give you $8,000.00 for it.
Tuna,

No need for insults.
